This Spicy Black Bean Burger recipe is a healthy and flavorful alternative to traditional beef burgers. The black bean patties are packed with protein and fiber, and the addition of Granddaddy's Secret Sauce gives them a zesty and tangy flavor. Ingredients:

- 2 cans black beans, drained and rinsed

- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

- 1/4 cup diced red onion

- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper

- 1/4 cup diced jalapeño pepper

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 tbsp Granddaddy's Secret Sauce

- 1 egg

- 4 burger buns

- Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.)

 

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until they are mostly smooth.

2. Add the breadcrumbs, red onion, red bell pepper, jalapeño pepper, garlic, Granddaddy's Secret Sauce, egg, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix everything together until well-combined.

3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each portion into a patty shape.

4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a small amount of oil to the pan.

5. Once the pan is hot, add the black bean patties. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until they are crispy and heated through.

6. Toast the burger buns, if desired.

7. Assemble the burgers with your desired toppings and serve hot.
